Kim Spiker is a Network Capacity Coach in the Central Region of the state supporting schools and districts in their efforts to develop, implement, and sustain MTSS and response to intervention. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at California State University, San Marcos, and worked as a classroom and Title 1 teacher in Arizona for nine years before moving to Illinois. While continuing her work in Illinois, Kim earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Illinois University. Her work with rural districts includes serving at the district level to provide monthly professional development, chairing the MTSS/RtI committee, assisting in development of the School Improvement Plan, chairing the Data Assessment Team, and serving as a member of the Curriculum Committee. Kim also participated in the Curriculum Leadership Development Network, through Illinois ASCD.
