JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:  Network Capacity Coach

Reports To:  Statewide Program Director

Job Goal:  Contribute to the achievement of Illinois MTSS Network goals through provision of professional learning- training, coaching, and technical assistance-to local education agencies.

The Network Capacity Coach is responsible for providing technical assistance and coaching to support district and school teams in the implementation of MTSS utilizing a "coach the coach" model. Network Capacity Coach supports districts in the ongoing assessment and implementation of evidence-based practice with fidelity.  They will be responsible for meeting with District Leadership Teams and School Leadership Teams of assigned districts to assess and identify goals for MTSS implementation. Network Capacity Coach needs to be knowledgeable of school improvement, MTSS Framework, capacity building, response to intervention process, tiered supports, evidence-based practices and data-informed decision making. They must have the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks with accuracy and respond to changing priorities.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, psychology or related fields

  • Multiple years of experience in the field of education

  • Minimum of two years’ experience providing technical assistance or coaching

  • Experience with professional learning and school improvement activities

  • Experience with data-informed decision making

  • Proficient in the use of technology

  • Ability to telecommute

  • Ability to travel on a weekly basis as needed (travel may be more frequent given the intensity of our current services)

Essential Duties: 

  • Meets with District Leadership Team and School Leadership Teams of assigned districts to assess needs and identify goals for MTSS implementation

  • Collaboratively provides professional learning opportunities as assigned

  • Provides technical assistance and coaching to support district and school teams in the implementation of MTSS utilizing a “coach the coach” model

  • Supports districts in the ongoing assessment and implementation of evidence-based practice with fidelity

  • Models effective best practice principles in daily work

  • Collaborates with partner agencies to support continuous improvement process in assigned districts

  • Participates in internal curriculum review and revision process as assigned

  • Tracks all activities in online system

  • Participates in internal professional learning activities to expand content fluency

  • Seeks out professional learning opportunities aligned with individual professional growth plan

  • Collaboratively analyzes data to make programming decisions

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with team members and supervisor

  • Completes documentation for work-related expenses

  • Complies with Network policies and procedures
